I have two kids who love to play online games most of their free time. And, as an old school Mom, I have been against it for the longest time. However, my husband has been lenient about it, ensuring their games are safe and age-appropriate. And as time went by, I embraced some of its benefits and sometimes played cool online games myself. HA! Parents must understand online gaming to encourage their kids for safety and healthy habits in terms of technology.
We are all aware that online games are a form of entertainment; in today’s age, it is inevitable for kids not to be able to play one or two. With adults’ support and guidance, online gaming can benefit children in developing their logical thinking, building creativity, and (believe me or not) strengthening friendships (it is a whole new world, after all). However, it shouldn’t replace human interaction and physical activities.
