My family loves having staycations to nearby resorts where we can escape from our daily routines. I think it is a great way to have some fun and get some relaxation without spending lots of time traveling.
It was my girl’s 11th birthday, and we were fortunate to be hosted by The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa for a weekend stay to celebrate her special day! The resort just finished its $30 million renovations about a year ago, so we were all excited to see it! Plus, we heard that the resort is pet-friendly, which made us super-duper excited since our fur baby, Hamilton, hadn’t travel with us before or stayed in a resort.

The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa is located north of Dallas-Fort Worth in Frisco, TX. It is a perfect location, just minutes away from popular attractions like Legacy West, The Shops at Legacy, The Star, The Stonebriar Mall, KidZania, and The Grandscape and much more. The resort sits on 400 acres of land and has its onsite Spa, a fitness center, a pool with whirlpool, a waterslide, and Splash Pad. They also added lawn games like giant Connect Four and corn hole. Be sure to try out the put-put golf! And, for the golfers, hotel guests get access to one of two 18-hole courses at Stonebriar Country Club, The Fazio Course.

We stayed on the resort most of our stay. The whole property is beautiful and the grounds are well-maintained, we enjoyed the grounds so much, most especially Hamilton. The terrace overlooking the garden is a perfect spot to relax. You can order some food and drinks from either restaurants, Beans & Barrel, or the Herd and Hearth. We can recommend staying there and waiting for the sunset; it is magical!

We love the pool, which has the waterslide that any kid would enjoy. If you plan to stay by the pool the whole day, getting a pool cabana is well worth it, especially if you are like me, want a good shaded space for a break from the summer sun . The cabana has comfortable sofa seating, loungers, cable tv, and a fan. The pool service crew were accommodating and continuously checked on us to see if everything was good; you won’t run out of your drinks:)

At night, we tried the TopGolf Swing Suite. I love this concept; it is a fun, creative, and innovative way to play games like golf, hockey, soccer, baseball, etc., which are all great for all ages. In addition, you can order food and drinks while you are playing. We had so much fun, especially the kids. You can reserve your time here.

You seriously don’t need to leave the hotel for some fun, and when it comes to food and drinks, they have three restaurants onsite: Beans and Barrel, which offers a grab-and-go selection of food and beverages, they serve breakfast and crafted cocktails, and light bites in the evening. Also, don’t miss out on the live music; such a perfect space to chill. In addition, Herd and Hearth serve a breakfast buffet (call for the day and time they are offering) and a locally inspired menu for dinner. Finally, Ranch Water is your spot for lunch; it is located by the pool, so you can enjoy the water while having some food and drinks.

The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf and Spa recently added a Well & Being Spa, services include massages, facials, body treatments, and Halotherapy. My husband and I tried the Halotherapy and I loved how it made me feel so relaxed and I opened up my stuffy nose.
Morever, they also have a Kid’s Club but call before booking to ensure it is open and they have activities for the kids.

Thank You, Westin Stonebriar for your hospitality. We had a BLAST!!! You can look at all my photos and videos on my Instagram Highlight “Westin Frisco”
