Yesterday was the first day of fall and the Plano Balloon Festival was the perfect activity to welcome in the season.

Plano has been our home for the past 8 years and the Plano Balloon Festival is one of the more famous events in this city which visitors to the Dallas Metroplex should come and witness. This year mark’s its 38th year. How amazing is that!!! The festival activities vary each year but it is always guaranteed to be fun for the whole family. This 3-day festival is held at Oak Point Park.

Have you been to the Plano Balloon Festival? If not, go and see it for yourself tonight for the Balloon Glow and Spectacular Fireworks!!! Check out the schedule here.

We had a blast and here are some of the photos and videos we took from last night.

This looks like an incredible event to go and visit and be part of. I’ve always wanted to do a hot air balloon ride, but to be able to do it an event like this would be even more incredible.

Wow that looks amazing!!! I’d love to attend! Were you able to take the whole family up in the balloons? I’ve never been in an air balloon but it’s on the list 🙂

I was actually looking for people hovering up high on one of the hot air balloons but the third photo shows they’re all tethered to the ground. Guess they weren’t actually for that purpose. but being on this event looks just as fun and the photo ops is just amazing.

In my nearly 8 years in North Texas, I’m sad to say I never made it to the Plano Balloon Festival. It was always one of those things that conflicted with something else. I hope I get the opportunity to go someday.

Ethiopian food is an fundamental part of DC's rest Ethiopian food is an fundamental part of DC's restaurant scene! Ethiopian dishes are typically served with injera (a giant flat pancake looking bread made from teff, wheat, barley or millet). And, "wots" will be served with injera ( a traditional stew consisting of different vegetables or meat cooked in a spicy sauce and served on top of a rolled out piece of injera). Most traditional Ethiopian food is eaten with the hands which is done by tearing off a piece of injera and using it to pick up wots or other food.

We had such a lovely evening at Chercher Ethiopian restaurant with friends. Such an unpretentious place, but the food is aaahmazing. They are Michelin recommended and totally worth it🫶💯 #chercherethiopianrestaurant #ethiopianfood #washingtondc
