Are you celebrating something special? Looking to spend some quality time with your special one but you have kids and you want them to celebrate with you? Well then, there is nothing quite like a relaxing, peaceful and luxurious experience at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas. And guaranteed the kids will have a blast, too.
We like the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts as a brand simply because of their superb accommodations, high-end amenities, exemplary service; the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas exemplifies all of these and more. They are very friendly and welcoming to all ages, definitely a fabulous place for families to enjoy a laid-back weekend getaway. My family stayed there for my husband’s birthday. It was the weekend just after the school start so I thought of treating him with a staycation, somewhere as amazing and special as him. I couldn’t have found a place more perfect than the Four Seasons. Here are some of the things that we loved about this resort.
Beautiful Grounds
The moment you enter the hotel lobby, a fresh sweet floral smell will greet you. My kids right away said, “it smells heavenly Mom”. Whatever that means to them but it was definitely a signature scent of Four Seasons Resorts, so refreshing and calming. Red roses for the floral arrangements made it so romantic that I didn’t want to leave the lobby, seriously.
They have three pools on the property. The Agave Pool which is just between the resort tower and villas. The family pool which is the place to be for families with kids. By the way, the family pool is open only from Memorial weekend through to Labor Day. Lastly, the indoor pool which is a saltwater lap pool and heated for your comfort found at the Sports Club.
Tip: If you need the golf cart to transport you to and from your villa or room, call way ahead of time. We waited for about 30mins for our ride and it never arrived and so decided to just walk to our villa instead.
By the way, did I mention that they offer world-class golf amenities including two renowned TPC courses? This is a perfect place for both professionals and recreational golfers.
Accommodation
They have different options depending on your budget and preference. You can either stay at Tower guest rooms including Suites or the Villas. All rooms offer patio or balcony which is overlooking beautifully manicured gardens or the golf course.
I got really excited when the front desk officer told me that we are heading to a room at the Villas. I didn’t ask for an upgrade considering they were fully occupied that weekend because of a visiting NFL football team that was in town; some events and a wedding party too. Well… I felt very lucky and very grateful for the upgrade which was the start to a very special stay. We got a lovely room with a beautiful view down the 18th hole fairway.
They make the room so conducive for kids: kids’ robes, snacks, toiletries and even a tent! With the rainy weather and all of this, the kids were having a blast and didn’t want to leave the room.
Tip: Cribs and the rollaway bed is available upon request and there are wheelchair-equipped rooms available too. I suggest to inform your travel agent or the reservation desk upon booking if you need it.
Dining
One of the reasons that made me want to visit this resort was the new restaurant on the property called LAW Restaurant which opened up last year. The letters in LAW stand for Land, Air, and Water, and true to their name the restaurant offers fresh poultry, various meats, and fish with a Texas twist to the flavor. The restaurant and its fun Texas chic environment is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On Sundays they also serve brunch.
While the kiddos were in the kids club we had dinner at LAW to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was great and the service was exceptional.
To start the night we got our drinks and again I have to highlight the exceptional service I received. I wanted to try the Frosé at the Agave Bar by the pool but hadn’t the chance to that afternoon, so I asked our server if they could make it for me. She was so nice to check with the pool bar for me and to my surprise, she managed to bring the drink to my table. Mmmmm…. it was delish.
For our dinner, we started with LAW Deviled Eggs. For our main courses, my husband got the Akaushi Rib Eye and I got the Striped Gulf Bass with crab, mussels, and chorizo paella. For dessert, we shared the TX Bread Pudding with Bourbon Caramel Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream.
Of course, they got something special for the celebrant.
The resort has other dining options too. Racquets which is located at the hotel’s sports club, near the family pool which serves sandwiches, salads, soups and other snacks from late morning to mid-afternoon, and breakfast. They are only open from Memorial Weekend to Labor Day. The Agave Pool and Bar is open every time the pool is open (they’re open every day during summer months) for Mexican cuisine with Texas flares. Outlaw Taproom is a fun place to be for some drinks like beers, wine and craft cocktails on tap and some food (it also has a pool table if you’re up for a game). The Terrace Lounge is a perfect place to meet friends/ families to mingle, have some drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
Amenities/ Activities
You don’t have to leave the resort! There is an array of different things to do in the resort. Play a round of golf, take some swings on the tennis courts (outdoor and indoor), get a workout at a full sports club (which is, by the way, is AMAZING), take a dip in one of the pools, treat yourself to the spa and the best part for us, let the kids have fun in the kids club.
Kids for All Seasons (KFAS)
There is something special about the Four Seasons Resorts Kids Club (Kids for All Seasons Club), they always make sure that the kids in a traveling family will have a great time at the resort. They offer varied activities for the whole family to enjoy and to immerse them into the local culture.
Tip: Complimentary kid’s club programs and it’s available for children ages 5 to 12. There’s also an on-site childcare program for kids 8 weeks to 13 years of age. Time varies depending on the time of the year so please double check before booking.
Summer time is probably the best time for families in this resort with special events for the whole family. During our stay, we had the Dallas Zoo Animal Adventures team showcase some mammals and reptiles. A truly up-close experience for the guests of all ages to enjoy. How cool is that!?! We were at the right place at the right time.
The Four Seasons Tree Scavenger Hunt is another fun thing to do with the kids. We love scavenger hunts and this one is by far our favorite.
SPA, FITNESS & WELLNESS
The spa is always a great idea. Well and Being Spa is there if you needed to relax and take a break from your day.
The Sports Club which undergone a real makeover (8million improvements) gives you the best facilities and sports activities you could ask for.
Customer Service
One of the best in the industry. Thank you Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas for making our stay a memorable one. We will be back. xoxo
Looks like an amazing hotel to spedn some time, even with kids! i’ll definitely visit here
The Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas sounds wonderful! And I love that it’s such a family friendly property too. I agree that the Four Seasons is a fabulous brand, so it’s nice to hear that Las Colinas is a shining star in their portfolio. So cute that your kids said the place smelt heavenly!! Congrats on your upgrade – the kids look so happy in their tent! This probably has to be one of the best resorts I’ve heard of for catering to kids – stunning for all ages, it shows thought that they separate the pools for families and adults who might want to enjoy some quieter time. So beautiful that they put the kids names in the bathroom – massive KUDOS for the thought – it’s little things like this that push a hotel experience from excellent to outstanding!
… I kind of want to go to the kids club even though I’m an adult 😀
Four Seasons looks like the perfect place to have a stress-free vacation! The property looks gorgeous with all kinds of convenient facilities. Their kid’s program keeps the children entertained so parents don’t have to worry about them!

I love a Good staycation. I am not much of a “resort, spa like” person, but this looks incredible! Thanks for sharing!
This hotel is so grand! So much to do from relaxing i the spa, playing a round of golf to hitting the gym. It’s great to see that there’s plenty of things to do for the kids. Food looks amazing!
The hotel looks perfect for families, with so many different activities for children. It’s nice that they put so much effort into the rooms, to make the children feel welcome but that they also have a kids club, where they can play while the parents are having a spa day or play golf.
Although I’m on the other end of the budget and tend to stay in hostels, this place looks amazing and has everything you need right at your finger tips 😀 – The desert does look very appealing too 😀
Nice post and nice pictures. I like the content and the presentation of the hotel.
Quite the huge hotel… We tend to stay more in hostels & b’n’b actually, but on the other hand, we still haven’t any kids yet. Though… we might end up changing our habits in the future 😉

WOW ITS HUGE!! Definitely a fun family time, look at all those activities! I prefer smaller hotels, more of a bnb person i guess.
We love alternative accommodations as well but depends really on the purpose of the stay. For us who has kids, we love resorts that offers kids club and kids activities:) Thanks for dropping by.
What a beautiful place to stay! Also the Frose looks amazing!! Sounds like you had a really memorable staycation.
Yup, the Frosé was so delicious ( I tried to make it at home but nothing like this one LOL… ) Staycations can be so fun, just have to find a place that has everything you needed. The Four Seasons won’t disappoint especially for families with kids.
