We spent our spring break in St. Lucia last year, and it was truly unforgettable! Every day was packed with fun adventures, from ziplining through the rainforest to snorkeling in the clearest blue water. But the best part was meeting some locals who made us feel right at home. We laughed a lot, explored a ton, and made the kind of memories that we will cherish forever. St. Lucia, you stole our hearts!
My husband really got into island life, he was driving us around like a local in no time! He handled St. Lucia’s winding, narrow, pothole-filled roads like a pro… meanwhile, I was in the passenger seat, totally stressed and holding my breath the whole time. If you’re planning a trip, just a heads-up: the roads are super scenic, but they’ll definitely keep you on your toes!
Where to Stay?
We stayed at Bay Gardens Resort & Spa, a locally family-owned gem in the north of the island that was celebrating its 30th anniversary and we were so happy to be part of the celebration! You will get the best sunset as well.
The resort had the perfect island vibe and plenty of activities to entertain everyone. The biggest highlight for the kids was the Splash Island Water Park, a floating playground in the sea that’s free for all resort guests. They had a blast making new friends and splashing around all day. Total win for the whole fam!
Another great option for family is staying at Anse Chastanet Resort . Located on the southwest coast of St. Lucia near Soufrière, the resort offers stunning views of the Pitons and a relaxed, tropical vibe. We also loved learning about its sister property, Jade Mountain Resort, an adults-only luxury retreat known for its incredible views and romantic atmosphere. The amenities were top-notch here, from the spa and beachfront lounges to the open-air rooms that blend perfectly with nature.
We had so much fun with the activities they offered. Snorkeling right off infront of the resort was a great experience for the kids. We also enjoyed the Anse Mamin Plantation guided tour, where we walked through the historic estate and learned about cocoa, spices, and sustainable farming. It was the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and relaxation, and definitely made our trip unforgettable.
Things To Do
Sulphur Springs is a must visit while you are visiting St. Lucia! Honestly, one of the coolest and unique experiences we’ve ever had as a family. We did the guided tour where we learned fascinating facts about the world’s only drive-in volcano and watched steam rise from the bubbling vents. It was short, engaging and educational, which kept everyone interested. After the tour, we headed to the warm mineral baths, covered ourselves in volcanic mud, and had the best laughs.
We drove over to Piton Falls near the Morne Coubaril Estate to clean up, and it ended up being such a cool part of the day. When we got there, it was quiet and we were the only ones around, which made it feel like our own little private spot. The warm, mineral-rich water was perfect for rinsing off and relaxing after the volcano baths. We took our time, enjoyed the calm atmosphere, and just appreciated how peaceful and beautiful it was. It was a simple but really special moment for the whole family.
Sunset cruise with Feel Good Boat Tour in St. Lucia was such a vibe! OMG! So fun! The weather was perfect, the music was hitting, the food was great, and the energy on the boat was unmatched. Seeing Gros Piton from the water was easily one of the highlights, it’s even more impressive in person and made the whole ride feel extra special. Being out there with fantastic company, good laughs, and unreal views made it a moment we’ll never forget.
Rainforest Adventure was such a thrill! We zipped through the treetops, which my kids wanted more of; we laughed and screamed, and took in the unreal views while riding the aerial tram above the lush rainforest. Being surrounded by massive trees, tropical sounds, and fresh mountain air made the whole experience feel magical. It was the perfect mix of thrills and chill time, and the kids.
